Micha contacted me about doing a large 38×38 oil painting portrait of his son Neil that was killed by a drunk driver. His son loved nature and fishing so he wanted something that depicted that. I normally put a bible verse below my signature if the client approves and Micha said he wanted the verse… Psalm 139:16. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. What a perfect verse! This video and painting are done in memory and honor of Neil’s life.

One November 24, 2020 my only son Neil was killed by a drunk driver. Neil was the light of my life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, a true outdoorsman. I knew I wanted a portrait that would convey who he was and his love of the water and nature. With the help of Carol, I was able to choose just the right photo.
